I don't usually post much about all the work Fair Travel™ has done and all the beautiful moments we have created for our guests since 2010. Between 2017 and until now I decided to have a non-marketing policy and test de-growth strategies. I also found it awkward to constantly shout out to the world about Fair Travel's work and mission and what amazing team of people I am privileged to work despite all the ups and downs of our world. Many guests and ambassadors of Fair Travel™ urged me to post more online but I refused. Besides, I saw how our guests notice our work and many of them posted and tagged us, and recommended us to their own friends and family. It made me believe more in the power of their word of mouth than traditional marketing. So we have been focusing more on the communication with guests, operations and all the details that make each wildlife safari and Kilimanjaro expedition a success. And here we are, 16 years later, Fair Travel™ continues despite global events like wars, outbreaks of diseases, bombings, terror attacks and other challenges. It is not about the organization. It is about the people in the organization. Due to the world events happening now, I decided to break the silence for a while in order to show the world that there is hope. That there are other narratives alive than the ones we are fed with on a daily basis. That there are millions of beautiful people and projects going on in the world and billions of people who care and supporting them when they find out and able to. It is true that some of the most mentally ill people of the planet have taken office in our democratic and public institutions in many countries. It is obvious that they have their own agendas to make profits and make the rest of us feel helpless. They are even murdering our children and innocent civilians in front of the cameras hoping we will become desentized to murder and abuse of power. But they will fail. Because their kind have tried for many generations and failed. You see, we are a compassionate species. We are not helpless either and our power lies in our genetic characteristics of bonding and connecting with each other. That can never be taken away from us as history has shown. Also our numbers is our power - 8 billion species members across the planet - growing higher level of consciousness each day without any stopping - evolving. We are all going through the same experience of life each moment of time we call NOW. Remember, you are never alone. We keep inspiring each other on all levels. One of such inspiring people I was privileged to meet and speak with so far in my life was dear belated Jane Goodall. Unfortunately, she past away recently but she had a long life and her legacy of raising awareness about conservation and the consciousness of all living beings, especially the Chimpanzees, our closest relatives, will echo for all generations onwards. On our first of two meetings, she told me that she is travelling more than 300 days per year to be able to fundraise and share her knowledge and concerns about conservation. I was impressed about the sacrifices she made to create impact in this world. She was delighted and positive when I shared how Fair Travel's ™ entire business model was designed to use tourism revenues for social and environmental causes, even after my own death. A great soul has left us indeed but her legacy work continues with the Jane Goodall Institute and its youth initiative called Roots and Shoots (https://rootsandshoots.global/ ) in Tanzania and elsewhere in the world. We have been in contact with them on several occasions before to explore synergies. Last year, together with my team members, we met with the local representative of Roots and Shoots in their Arusha office to see how Fair Travel™ could help their work in Tanzania. After being shown several ongoing projects, we decided to sponsor their initiative of creating vegetable gardens in schools (project code 350009-722) and sponsored them with 175 bags of vegetable seeds. After all, it takes seeds to grow roots that shoot, right? Involving children and youth in conservation efforts and teaching them tools for sustainable living makes complete sense. Activating their compassion for all living beings is crucial. Our sponsorship for the purchase of seeds was our first trial of hopefully many future collaborations with Root and Shoot's different Youth programs. We have also more inspiring news to share with you this coming year regarding Fair Travel™ expanding to more destinations and a new strategy for how to use tourism revenues to maximize conservation efforts. So yes, it is time to break the silence. And this post is to inspire you. To let you know that there are many people who care about others and our environment even if they do not take space in the mainstream media. People you may have never met or heard of, yet. But we all co-exist in the same now as one human species and population. And we work and aspire for a better future. A better tomorrow. So keep positive and keep spreading your own seeds of consciousness, love and light wherever you can - just like our dearest Jane Goodall did. May her soul rest in peace and may us all become more conscious, more happy and liberated soon - united as one species
