🏆 Did you know that "Serengeti Shall Not Die" ("Serengeti darf nicht sterben") won an for Best Documentary Feature in 1960?

🦓 Produced by Dr. Bernard Grzimek and his son Michael, this acclaimed was made possible by their use of a Dornier Do 27 aircraft to study in Tanzania. Tragically, Michael lost his life in a 1959 crash caused by a vulture collision.

🎥 In 2008, the plane's remains were transported from to Berlin and are now displayed at the DTMB museum. The museum also houses an Arriflex 35 film , a model used to shoot "Serengeti Shall Not Die."

🌿 The Grzimeks' work was pivotal in efforts in , bringing global attention to the importance of protecting .
