"Then we were met by our guide Jeremiah, who, from the start, startled us with his sense of humor and his sunny personality. We would joke around the whole 7 days and it was more like a friend showing his friends his country. He was always in full control of every situation and handled the Safari like the professional he is. Also he knew everything about fauna, flora and wildlife (without looking it up in a book). 🌾

Having a guide like Jeremiah makes the difference in having a good or a bad trip. If you decide to rent your own car and go to national parks: good luck. “At this point I would like to make a special mention of our EXCELLENT tour guide – Witson Nanyaro. With his extremely courteous, calm manner we felt safe and comfortable at all times. Even when the road was bumpy and uneven, he drove us safely and with foresight through the Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks. He knows his job very well and you can see that he is very passionate about it. With his incredible knowledge about the animals, nature and culture of Tanzania, he answered all kinds of questions or shared his knowledge with us. Witson is also not too shy for a joke and so a wonderful atmosphere was created during our adventure.” 🐘🌿

“The safari was amazing, everything was perfectly organized, the accommodations were beautiful and our guide Daniel was the best we could have. He answered all questions we had and gave us a lot of info regarding animals, nature, African and Masai culture, food, politics and many other topics. 🌾 Thanks to Daniel and his experienced eyes, we saw a lot of animals we could have never spotted by our own. This was an incredible and unforgettable holiday, we are back to Europe full of memories and beautiful pictures. Thanks again Arno and Daniel!”

Machame Route 6 days (04.12. – 09.12.)

Day 3: New Shira Camp (3,845m) to Lava Tower (4,640 m) to Barranco Camp (3,960m)

Well-rested our guests today hiked up to Lava Tower and back down to the beautiful Barranco Camp. With a bit of luck, they enjoy spectacular views of Kibo from camp. ⛰️

ℹ️ Today’s focus is acclimatisation: Following the “climb high, sleep low” maxim, our climbers slowly expose their bodies to the higher altitude, increasing their chances for a successful summit. Over the 6-to-7-hour hike, vegetation changes to an alpine desert towards Lava Tower and takes our guests through the Barranco Valles with its lobelia and senecio plants.
