Africa lives in the hearts and minds of all travellers or tourists looking for adventure and health challenge in places with unsurpassed scenery, challenging mountains to conquer, and a cultural that's different from their own. Many of the most enduring African images are in East Africa. In East Africa, we have all the attractions that come to mind whenever you think "Vacation". In Uganda: The Rwenz

ori, Elgon and many many more. We have the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, the Maasai Mara, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Selous game reserve (size of Denmark), Ruaha, Zanzibar Island and many more that I cannot easily mention. Tanzania is still the image to have in mind since many of it's natural beauty is unspoiled, some undiscovered. We proudly wish you a great trip and a wonderful stay in Tanzania on deciding to make it your next holiday resort. Geography
Tanzania covers 937,062sq making it the largest Country in East Africa. Just south of the equator, it borders Kenya and Uganda in the North, Zaire, Rwanda and Burundi on the west, and Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi in the south, making it a splendid center from which to explore Eastern, Central and Southern Africa. Through the interior runs the great Rift Valley--a vast fault-line down the spine of Africa that, in Tanzania, has created many fascinating geological features such as the Ngorongoro crater and Lake Tanganyika. The central plateau (1,200m above sea level) is a huge expanse of savannah and sparse woodland. To the north, the 5,890-metre (19,340ft) Mount Kilimanjaro rises. Not only is it the highest in Africa, but it is also the highest free standing mountain in the world. While the interior of Tanzania is still largely arid, the 800 kilometer coast line is lush and palm-fringed as are the Islands of Zanzibar, Pemba and Mafia. Climate
The coastal areas are hot and humid with an average day time temperature of 300C. Sea breezes make the climate very pleasant from June to September. The Central plateau experiences warm days and cool nights. The hilly country between the coast and the northern Highlands has a pleasant climate from January to Septmber, with the temperature averaging around 20oC. Temperatures vary around Kilimanjaro according to the season registering a low 15oc during May - August rising to 22oc from December to March. For the whole country the hottest months are October to February. The main long rainy season is from mid- March to late May. Population
East Africa has a population of around 80million. Tanzania is around 30million. Black Mamba

Dear Leonard,

We wanted to thank you for the great Kilimanjaro experience! We were very pleased with how you were involved with our whole time in Tanzania and even went out of your way to make sure that we were taken care of after the climb.
The climb was great although harder than expected. We all made it to the top and feel like we accomplished a goal. The guide and the porters were all very helpful and polite. They were very familiar with the mountain and were able to help us reach our goal. We would recommend your agency to anyone wanting to travel to Tanzania as your honesty and friendliness are outstanding!

Thank you to you and to all your staff!

From Anne-Elizabeth Warlick (USA):

I highly recommend hiking Mt. Kilamanjaro with Black Mamba Safari. They were very organized, provided us with the proper rental equiptment and our guides were very experienced. Our group was well prepared for the journey, we were informed about safety and what to expect, and we felt safe with our guides. And, the food was outstanding! You don't have to worry about getting hungry! If
I climb Mt. Kilimanjaro again, I will definitly go with Black Mamba!

From Emily Friedberg (USA):

A friend of mine hiked Kilimanjaro with Black Mamba safaris in 1995 when they were just getting started. When I came to Tanzania the first time as a student, she told me, "You must find Leonard, the director of Black Mamba safaris, he will take care of you." I never did find him. And when I returned a second time to live and work here, she gave me the same advice. It wasnât until my friends and I were standing on the side of the road waiting for a taxi near my house when a nice man stopped and asked if we needed help (as it was a strange sight to see three "wazungus" standing on the side of the road in the dark waiting for a taxi). We thought he was just another nice Tanzanian but after talking a bit, I put two and two together and realised that I was talking to the one and only Leonard! After all the times I have tried to find him it turned out we were neighbours and we have been friends ever since.

So naturally when my friends and I decided to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in June, Black Mamba safaris was the first place we went because I knew Leonard would take care of us. The climb was wonderful, well extremely difficult but beautiful. Our guide, Frank was good (he basically pushed me up the last leg as I was too tired to walk·.) We had everything we needed to summit to the Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa!

The locals are out of business in excuses that they don't know their values, and culture. There is no one who knows the land, animals, the weather and the people more than the locals and the indigenous people.A tourist can be well guided and protected more by the locals than other tourists or immigrants.I don't expect to go to China,Europe or American be served in my culture, they do it their way.All I have to do is enjoy the culture the environment and the people because that is what makes the world a unique place to live.It will be a very boring planet if we all wear the same colour, talk the same language, have the same colour and values all over. Its good as it is.Since globalisation came to Africa,a lot of locals have been kicked out of businesses for excuses of "our values".
Almost all tourists who books a safari will book with a European,American or Chinese company.Saying that Africans don't know their values, and are not "trustworthy"Is this not another racial profiling way in businesses? They have the Market,They have the Colour and they have the Capital, what do we do as locals?
