The Hadza are one of the vey few remaining foraging communities in the world. Its total population is about 1,300 people. This book is about life and challenges faced by the Hadza hunting and gathering community of the Eyasi basin in Tanzania. The survival of Hadza hunter-foragers as a minority ethnic group is at risk due to the changes of their ecology and loss of their resource use rights. Encroachment by neighboring communities and globalization are the biggest challenges to their survival.
I will appreciate if you buy this book. I will use the money obtained to conduct further research on this small community. I will work with Hadza to find possible sustainable solution to improve their livelihood while improving their traditional ways of life.
