“The safari that made it into the skies.”
Just hours before his 3 PM flight, journalist Mark joined us on a half-day safari through Arusha National Park — a quick adventure that turned into a published feature in Precision Air’s in-flight magazine.
Here’s how the morning unfolded…
1. First stop: the forest canopy.
The day began with the rustle of trees and the graceful leap of white colobus monkeys — a perfect welcome from the treetops.
2. Next came the calm.
On an open patch of grass, deer grazed peacefully, unfazed by our quiet presence.
3. Then, an unexpected sight.
As we drove deeper into the park, we passed a group of travelers on a walking safari, soaking in the land one step at a time — a reminder of how many ways one can meet the wild.
4. Midday, we paused.
We arrived at the lakeside picnic site, where we shared stories, snapped photos, and enjoyed lunch with a view.
5. And then came the height.
A giraffe appeared above us, its neck towering over the hill while we sat in the car below — one of those surreal scenes you can’t plan, only feel.
6. To close the day, the giants.
Just before heading out, a pair of elephants emerged from the distance — calm, powerful, and grounding.
7. By early afternoon, we were on the road.
Mark, binoculars in hand, was still soaking in every detail. We dropped him off at the airport, just in time for his flight — his safari complete, his story just beginning.
Sometimes, all it takes is a morning.
And sometimes, that morning becomes a story shared at 30,000 feet.
