Our Maasai guides love sharing the secrets of the place they call home 🇹🇿

One of our favorite ways to show you the wonders of Lake Natron is during a Flamingo Lake Walk. Our local guide takes you to the lake, the surrounding volcanic scenery and, at the right time of year, thousands of flamingos come together to create what is often called the “Pink Spectacle” 🦩

It’s a beautiful sight, but for us, the experience is also about learning more about the area from someone who knows this landscape as home.

Because the best way to discover Tanzania? With the people who know it best.

This is Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment 🐘🌿

One of the places we like to recommend when you’re exploring northern Tanzania, especially if you want a comfortable base without changing accommodation every night.

The lodge sits high on the escarpment, with Lake Manyara stretching out below you. And after a day on safari, there’s something pretty special about coming back here, taking a swim and watching the landscape change as the sun goes down. 😍

From here, you’re also well placed to explore Lake Manyara National Park, Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. That’s one of the reasons we like this spot: you can experience three very different safari areas while having one place to come back to.

It’s these little things we’ve learned from travelling Tanzania ourselves that help us choose where we’d stay, and where we’d send our own guests. 💚

This is one of those places where we’d tell you: stay a little longer. 😉

Hidden amongst the banana groves near Lake Manyara, Migombani brings a little extra luxury to your safari. Spacious rooms, an infinity pool, gym, spa & wellness and our Luxury Glamping Accommodations even come with an outdoor shower and bathtub. 🛁🌿
