Kili not just a walk in the park
The thrill of setting one’s sites on a summit attempt of Kilimanjaro should be taken with some calculation and seriousness – it is not like jumping in a safari vehicle and bundling off to Serengeti, it is also not like boarding a plane to the tropical waters of Zanzibar!! If considering Kili you are about to climb the highest free standing mountain in the world which is almost 6 km high to give you some idea of scale! For most of the year Kilimanjaro is blessed with great weather and rewarded with incredible sunrises to the valley below with Mt Meru 4566mts conical outline usually shrouded by a fluffy white carpet of low cloud.
