We, members of domestic Tourism Promoters Organization:
In recognition of the tourism potentiality and its contribution to the economy of the country, the founding member has been able to establish this organization to promote and enhance domestic tourism at all level and classes of the society for the well-being of community and nation at large. Are aware of the importance of domestic tourism, bu

t also concerned with inadequate status this form of tourism is accorded ,it is under this circumstance that we have decided to raise the issue; of forming the organization that could identify potentials, promote and enhance domestic at tourism all levels and classes of the society

Are aware of the lack of awareness and education of tourism that prevail our people (community) where tourism has been considered to be practiced by only foreigners

We are eager to mobilize social groups and individuals in collaboration with higher learning institutions and other developmental organizations to change the community’s mindset so that they actively participate in tourism (domestic tourism)

We also have a motive of involving the local community in environmental protection and conservation by providing them with environmental conservation education, its importance and potential impacts to our life

In view of the foregoing, we directors of domestic tourism promoters (DOTOP) do hereby intend to form this organization with the aims of meeting the objectives set out and stipulated herein after under the heading “the objectives of domestic tourism promoters”.
