''EXPERIENCE DOMESTIC TOURISM WITH FIKIRIA TANZANIA SAFARIS''
In Tanzania, Tourism has clearly been one of the fastest growing sectors, growing at the rate of about 20 percent per annum over the last few years. To a large extent, this has been greatly assisted by the Government help in increasing the hotel capacity through debt conversion programme (DCP).
It is believed that tourism could expand even more rapidly if the necessary infrastructure and facilities especially; additional capacity could be built, preferably by the private sector.
Through the East African Community (EAC), Domestic Tourism safaris promotion company (DTSPCO) strongly believed that it is time for Tanzanians to benefit from East African common market opportunities and tourism industry is one of the top priority areas to benefit from.
Statistics showed that Tanzania’s economy was the fastest growing in the region and that, unlike in the past, trade with its partners in the East African community was now registering a surplus on an annual basis. The fact is that we are now actually exporting more to our partners than we import from them. Domestic Tourism safaris promotion company (DTSPCO) realized that the country’s immense natural resources, if well managed, would soon make Tanzania’s economy the envy of its partners largely because Tanzania’s natural resources give our country more than a fair advantage relative to the other partners.
