Tanzania stop three highlights 🦁

- Entering the vast plains of the iconic Serengeti and seeing animal for miles and miles
- Witnessing the massive herds of the great migration & everyone’s new babies
- Seeing more big cats than I thought possible - at least 40 different lions, the cheetahs, and the elusive leopard
- Checking into the most stunning safari lodge of the trip with our own plunge pool with views of the wandering elephants & baboons
- A beautiful sundowner with new friends, the best guide, and the kindest lodge staff
- Enjoying a bush lunch while unknowingly being stalked by a lion

Overall, the Serengeti was our favorite & I can’t wait to share our experiences with all of the current and new clients who’ve reached out about planning their own safari.

Tanzania: stop one 🦓

- A late arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport
- A beautiful dinner & incredible hospitality awaiting us at check in to the Hamerkop House
- A couple of great nights of sleep in a luxurious suite in a boutique hotel just for us
- Late cooked to order breakfast & a day to relax and recover by the pool
- A golden hour safari on horseback & our first up close and personal wild game sightings
- Getting to meet a wonderful safari partner in person & new FAM trip friends
- Our first goodbye with the amazing staff
- A stop in Arusha town, the very center of the African continent, for some African art shopping

Tanzania stop two highlights 🐘

- Game drives in Tarangire National Park just full of elephants & giraffe
- Checking into another beautiful property perched high above the park with the most incredible views
- A luxury canvas tent with indoor/outdoor bath tubs and showers (a fave for me) and a terrace with the best views
- Getting escorted to dinners by very kind Maasai warriors carrying spears (in case we got attacked by an animal)
- Enjoying a luxury lunch set up in the bush under an acacia tree
- A gorgeous sundowner set up at the top of Mpingo ridge with an open bar
- Watching a big thunderstorm roll in over lunch on the lodge terrace & the rainbow after

Today was the best day in Aswan. We took a boat to explore Philae Temple located on its own island in the Nile. Then we went to the historic Old Cataract hotel where Agatha Christie wrote “Death on the Nile” for a fabulous afternoon tea (Austin’s first tea!!!) with an amazing view over the Nile and nearby ruins. 100% planning to recommend this hotel to future clients!

Our second stop on this Egyptian adventure was Aswan where we stayed in the most interesting Nubian style hotel along the Nile River and dined with a Nubian family in their home. We also got to fly down to Abu Simbel close to the Sudan border and visit some of the most incredible Egyptian temples. The day ended with a very peaceful traditional felucca ride on the Nile to soak up a Nubian sunset 🌅

Scenes from Santorini ☀️

As crowded as it may be, there’s just something so special about this Greek island. As a second time visitor, this time I stayed along the caldera outside of the most touristy town of Oia and loved the quiet.

Our favorite things:

• Wine wine wine - we love this island for it’s plethora of major producers and boutique wineries
• Catamaran cruising + swimming in an active volcano
• Lunch at Black Rock Restaurant overlooking the views of Oia
• Sushi under a windmill in Fira town
• A relaxing spa day at Del Sol
• Starting + ending each day with epic hot tub views
• & of course dancing the night away celebrating Veronica + Dillon at the most gorgeous venue!

Postcards from Paros 🌸

We’re thinking this Greek island was our favorite. An equal mix between touristy with plenty to do, but also plenty of spaces to explore the island without crowds.

A few of our favorites here:

• A Greek cooking class with chef Maria - I will literally never forget the time I filleted a fish to Mamma Mia songs
• Our favorite gyros of the trip - via Pita Frank
• Sunset dinner at Siparos - everything was perfect including the cat who joined our table
• No shortage of beach clubs, fishing villages, & mountain towns to explore
• Wine tasting to beat the mid-afternoon heat
• Taking engagement photos among the winding streets + bougainvillea
• The entire vibe of Naousa village at sunset
