r host Eazy Mjema has worked as a tour guide for several years and has become a well known artist. Some of his unique batik artworks are created in his workshop on his plot and you are invited to watch him creating his batik fabrics. Last but not least he is an excellent cook serving traditional local meals for dinner and breakfast.

Eazy's old dilapidated kitchen urgently needs to be renovated, that is, completely rebuilt. The walls are cracked, the beams are eaten away by ants, the roof is leaking. Further use of the space is no longer possible and also dangerous. Eazy is grateful for any kind of support.

Eazy’s Place - Accommodation for travellers who love something special

To whom it may concern - e.g. students of “African Studies” planning a study tour...

since we know that students to obtain an academic degree in African studies travel frequently to Africa for study visits, we would like to introdruce "Eazy's Place", a guest house in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, a private self-help project.

The hostel was built by us - Bernd and Xenia Marita Riebe - in 2012 and since then it has been logistically and financially supported. Our project was accompanied by Dr. Linda Gerlach, Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig and Tim Marton, Dept. of General Linguistics, Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf.
