We will never cease to be amazed by the great Serengeti .. read and enjoy some of these interesting facts about this world popular National Park!

-The Serengeti National Park eco-system is the oldest on the planet. It boasts a diversity of flora and fauna that is unavailable anywhere else on the globe.

-In more than 1 million years, little has changed in the park. The wild animals, the plants and waterways are still largely intact as they were one million years ago.

-Most of the tourists focus on the more than 1 million wildebeest as they migrate. However, Zebras too migrate - albeit in smaller numbers.

-Thousands of the migrating animals will never make it back to Maasai Mara national park as African crocodiles and other carnivores have a feast waylaying the herbivores as they cross the Mara River.

UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK
This park is a real heaven for all the people who love to do trekking: the reserve is accessible only on foot, because there are no roads suitable for car but just mountain tracks. It is possible to experience itineraries with different level of difficulty and duration. The most popular path is the one reaching Sanje Waterfall, a trekking suitable for everybody, that can be completed in one day. The most challenging and longer is the Lumemo Trail, an amazing trekking experience that lasts 6 days.
If you are passionate about nature, trekking and camping then the unspoiled areas of Udzungwa National Park is a place that you don't want to miss during your travel to Tanzania; it can be reached easily by road from Dar Es Salaam and it can be combined with a safari to Mikumi National Park or other natural reserve/parks of the Southern Circuit.
