Reserve du Selous

La réserve du Selous est principalement une réserve de gibier de chasse, seulement 8% du territoire dans le nord est réservé au safaris photos. La réserve est actuellement en péril à cause de braconnage. Elle est très boisée et traversée par la fameuse rivière Rufiji. La faune y est très riche même si elle est en déclin. Elle doit son nom au chasseur Frederick Courtney Selous, officier anglais du XXIème siècle.

Two Days / One Night Saadani Highlights;

*Day 1
Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner

~Pick-up from your Hotel in Zanzibar for a transfer to a Derpature point; Marina or Airport.
~Board a Speed Boat or a flight for a transfer to Saadani national park.
~On arrival in Saadani sea shore; meet and greet with the driver accompanying you at our 4WD Safari Explorer Jeep.
~Thereafter Full day game drives followed by a picnic lunch at Saadani sea facing restaurant.
~Dinner and overnight Saadani safari lodge or simply Saadani lodge or similar Lodge.

*Day 2
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch

~After breakfast proceed for sunrise game drive which provide stunning scenery for wildlife photographs.
~Thereafter drive back to Saadani seaview restaurant for a lunch.
~Drive to a seashore or airstrip for a flight or boat ride back to Zanzibar.
