starting the new year with a new club - The Jambiani Social Club continues its workshops in Jambiani and now we are branching out to Paje with a book club hosted together with

join us for the first one 22nd January at 6pm

no book? no problem! we will start as a reading&discussion circle, sharing different books, articles and poscasts on a topic, exchanging ideas (and maybe books?) and will take our bookless club from there.

January theme: ZANZIBAR - bring books on history, the best guide book, stories written on this island, poetry you found online or a book with Zanzibar in its title.

no fee - all we ask for a contribution for the next club's catering in February, you pay what you can.

the Jambiani Social Club is about connecting guests and residents with the culture and people of Zanzibar. We could do the standard tours and excursions, and we do, but we find workshops and experiences involving an exchange between Zanzibaris and guests of Zanzibar, so you are not only visiting and pay for an event but you are co-creating experiences and make memorable memories while learning new skills - how can you leave this island without knowing how to crack open a coconut, counting the birds coming to sleep in the mangroves or cook that curry with chapati??

we might have a break on our regular workshops and meetups, but spread the word and love to anyone traveling to Zanzibar soon - private workshops possible, and don't forget, we can arrange tours too if you want to explore the non-touristy side of Zanzibar...

Community iftar at Kanga Village of .zanzibar - every night, over 200 come together for a communal iftar in the Kanga Village featuring designs of children for the traditional kangas worn by Zanzibari women. with the ramadan month approaching, please support the fundraiser for Jambiani and Makunduchi communities - .jambiani.social.club & are raising the funds to distribute food during ramadan to any families within our communities struggling for one reason or another. Ramadan being the month of charity and community, join us for the community iftars and support our communities.

the Tuesday Dawa Club is going into the new year with a new pland:
every first Tuesday of the month: field trip day!
every second Tuesday of the month: spa day, it is all about self care and wellness!
every third Tuesday of the month: join the Drug Dadas for some theoretical learning and basic experiments!
every last Tuesday of the month: it is all about holistic well being so let's share healthy recipes and food for our souls!
