Never underestimate the power of a herd of buffalo. During a morning drive, caught a herd using mobbing behavior. A defensive tactic where animals band together to confront and drive off a predator. In this case, they worked together to split and push back a pride of 13 lions. An incredible display of strength in numbers.

By the time dinner is served at the boma, the day has already given everyone plenty to talk about. Plates are passed around the table, the fire sends sparks into the night and stories move easily from one end to the other. It is a meal, certainly, but it is also where the day’s adventures become shared memories.
