Monduli Juu Bush Camp Site

Monduli Juu Bush Camp Site Monduli Juu bush campsite is situated in an authentic Maasai community just outside of Arusha .

Staying over night in our natural campsite over looking the rift valley is a once in a lifetime experience. From the campsite we offer walks down the rift valley and up Monduli mountain (komolonik mountain in the Maasai language). Visiting a local Maasai boma (house hold) and experiencing traditional life, visiting the local market, is just a few of the exciting adventures we offer.

It was truly a wonderful time to have you, Emuna and Tali, in our real-life environment. You lived and carried out all daily activities with the Maasai. Even when you left, it was indeed a difficult time for us because you had become like family. However, we believe that one day we will meet again. Thank you for coming and sharing this beautiful experience with us.

Learning to hunt with a spear is an essential skill for Maasai warriors to protect the community as a whole.

I'm truly captivated by this stunning image. The serene landscape and the three guests guided by our guide (Nathan) walking together create a sense of tranquillity that I find deeply moving.

The vibrant colors of the blankets worn by the guests stand out beautifully against the earthy tones of the surrounding environment. It's as if they are embracing the natural world, finding comfort and connection in their shared journey.

This image resonates with me on a personal level, as it reminds me of the importance of slowing down, appreciating the beauty that surrounds us, and cherishing the bonds we share with others. The simplicity and mindfulness captured in this scene are truly inspiring.

Thank you for coming and sharing this wonderful photograph. It's a true gem that I will treasure and revisit whenever I need a moment of calm and reflection. This image is a testament to the power of art to connect us with the world and with each other. Welcome Again

This is the beginning of empowering a young boy to become a soldier and protector of the Maasai community. Once the boy reaches the age of thirteen, he begins to receive training on self-defense, protecting livestock, and the community as a whole. Currently, we have started the circumcision ceremony for the IRMEGOLIKI age group, and soon we will learn together. The video below shows the Elder teaching the young boy how to hold and enjoy throwing a spear while standing properly without hurting himself. Welcome everyone to learn and experience it.

One of the key pillars in preparing Maasai warriors is passing through this important stage of "Jando" (circumcision).

Jando is the first stage of bravery for the warriors. The individual wearing black clothes and with white chalk on his face (Enduroto) is a young Maasai warrior who has entered this stage. The second person, dressed in regular (Western-style) clothing, is the famous guide NATHANIEL, after discussing matters with this warrior.

WELCOME TO WITNESS THIS IMPORTANT STAGE. Make your vacation period educational by visiting MONDULI JUU VILLAGE.
