Balloon pilots in the Serengeti are some of the most experienced in the world.

Because flying over wildlife and navigating the park’s specific microclimates is so sensitive, the pilots undergo rigorous training and need extensive flying hours.

Many have logged thousands of hours and even worked in ballooning hotspots like Cappadocia or the Masai Mara before flying in Tanzania.

Given to her by a friend as part of her reading circle, this book became a source of courage through each challenging day of the climb.

Nine Poetic Hearts delves into the resilience and wisdom of nine poets who endured personal and societal hardships, mirroring the perseverance needed to reach Africa’s highest peak.

This behaviour is not uncommon among cheetahs in certain areas, especially in open grasslands where they seek elevated vantage points.

Why Do Cheetahs Sit on Safari Vehicles?
1. Better View of the Surroundings – Cheetahs rely on sight rather than scent to spot prey and threats. Climbing a safari vehicle provides them with a higher vantage point to scan the horizon.

2. Curiosity and Comfort – Some cheetahs have become accustomed to safari vehicles and are curious rather than fearful. They may see them as a non-threatening part of their environment.

3. Lack of Tall Trees or Termite Mounds – In flat savanna landscapes, cheetahs often climb termite mounds or fallen trees to get a better view. If these natural vantage points aren’t available, a vehicle serves as a substitute.

Why Won’t the Cheetah Harm the Clients?
1. Cheetahs Are Not Aggressive Toward Humans – Unlike lions or leopards, cheetahs are typically shy and non-aggressive towards people unless provoked.

2. No Threat Perception – Safari vehicles have been present in their habitat for years, and cheetahs do not associate them with danger.

3. Hunting Instincts Are Different – Cheetahs are built for speed, not confrontation. They hunt small to medium-sized prey like gazelles, not large animals or humans.

4. Guides Are Trained for Such Situations – Experienced safari guides ensure that guests remain calm and still if this happens, avoiding sudden movements that could startle the animal.

This type of encounter is rare and thrilling but highlights the unique harmony between wildlife and responsible safari tourism in Tanzania!

Two best friends, went on a journey of a lifetime to tackle Mount Kilimanjaro.

After months of preparation and unwavering determination, they reached Uhuru Peak at sunrise, triumphantly standing at 5,895 meters above sea level.

Their journey to the summit was filled with camaraderie, breathtaking landscapes, and the rewarding challenge of conquering the mountain together.

To celebrate their incredible achievement, the duo decided to explore another of Tanzania’s wonders: the Ngorongoro Crater.
