4 Days: Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti Safari

Overview
A 4-day safari for clients short on time. Visit Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater for classic wildlife and landscapes.

Day 1 – Serengeti National Park
Drive 6-7 hrs from Arusha/Karatu via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Afternoon game drive in Seronera, the park’s wildlife-rich central zone. Overnight: Camping/Mid-range/Luxury lodge. Full board.

Day 2 – Serengeti Full Day
Full day in Central Serengeti during wildebeest/calving season. Focus on big cats, herds, and open plains. Overnight: Camping/Mid-range/Luxury lodge. Full board.

Day 3 – Serengeti Game Drive
Early morning 8-hr game drive across the plains. Lunch in the park, then drive toward Ngorongoro area for overnight. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater
Early 45-min drive to the crater. 8-hr game drive on the crater floor to see rhino, elephants, lions, giraffes, flamingos, hyenas. Lunch inside the crater. Transfer to hotel/airport after.

Between December and March the herds gather on the short grass plains, which stretch from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to southern Serengeti.

It is calving season, 80% of the newborns see the light between January and February and predators seem to know it well.

Seeing the migration in the Serengeti is simply the best you can get from a Safari in Africa.
