It was a beautiful Saturday morning in Serengeti National Park when we witnessed one of nature’s rawest moments; a young male lion devouring a young giraffe. 🦁🦒

There were two lions: one guarding the territory while the other enjoyed his meal. No scripts, no filters… just the wild doing what the wild does best.

Nature can be cruel, but it is also incredibly fascinating. 🌍❤️

🐆 After crossing the Gurumeti River, we found this beautiful cheetah doing what cheetahs do best when they’re not hunting… just relaxing! 😄

Seeing one of Africa’s most iconic predators resting peacefully in the endless plains of the Serengeti was a moment our guests won’t forget.

💡 Fun Fact: Cheetahs are the fastest land animals on Earth, reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h (75 mph). They rely on incredible bursts of speed, but only for about 20–30 seconds, so plenty of rest is essential!

Today, we were fortunate to spot one of Africa’s Big Five ; the elusive black rhino, one of the rarest and most challenging animals to find on safari.

The morning was cold in the Ngorongoro Crater, and this giant had chosen to stay tucked away in the tall grass, resting comfortably. Patience paid off as we waited quietly until he finally stood up, giving us an unforgettable view of this magnificent creature.

The lesson? At Mommy and Kairo Safaris, our spotters never give up. We scan every corner of the wilderness, stay patient, and go the extra mile because nothing beats seeing the smiles on our guests’ faces when a dream sighting becomes reality.

❄️ 17th July 2026 – A chilly morning in the Ngorongoro Crater, and while most animals were curled up on the grass trying to stay warm, this lone wildebeest had other plans. Standing proudly by itself, it seemed completely unfazed by the cold weather, almost as if it was posing for our cameras.

Our guests Alan, Maddy, and Jayson were thrilled by this close up encounter. Moments like these remind us that every game drive tells a different story, and today this wildebeest was definitely the main character.

A walking safari, then a lion sighting on the way to the hotel? That’s Tanzania for you! 🦁✨

On 16 June 2026, in Manyara National Park, this young male lion stole the show with his cute face and giant paws. He looked like he was searching for the rest of his pride as he calmly stood watching the world go by.

Raina and Daniel were over the moon, while the rest of the guests were left in complete awe, hardly believing what they were seeing. What a day to remember! 🐾❤️

On our way to the hotel in Ngorongoro, a group of giraffes appeared to welcome us. It was an unforgettable encounter, and my guests were overjoyed. Moments like these are what make safari experiences truly magical..
