It was a private place of detention for slaves in 1883 when a jail was built on the island, thus the name " prison island" the jail was never used and the ruins can still be seen. Also know as changuu and quarantine island where you will find a conservation area dedicated to the endangered aldabra tortoise.
Take a tour of the historical Prison, which once used to house rebellious slave and was later used as a quarantine site sheltering the main island from epidemic like yellow fever.

This is full day excursion normally I pick up you at the hotel around 9:00 in the morning to visit three sights spice farm, prison Island and stone town
After picking up you we will go direct to the Spice farm where our tour starts in the Spice the guide will show how to grow spice, how to harvest and how to use spices in our daily life
After this we are going to see mr coconut climber who will show you how to climb coconut tree 🌴
Then we complete our tour in the spice shop for buying spices
After spice tour we are going to prison island where the tortoises available
Our boat rides from stone town to prison island and the guide explains you why we call prison island and and why the tortoises available there and you we will make pictures with tortoises

Mikumi National Park is adorable. Get to see such animals like Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, lion, zebras, wildebeest, leopard and crocodile are commonly seen in the park.

Day 1: Depart Dar early morning to Mikumi, on arrival lunch at the camp, Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight Stanley’s Kopje Camp or Vuma Hills Tented Camp or Camp Bastian/ Mikumi Resort/Tan Swiss

Day 2: Full day game drive in Mikumi or two half-day game drive. Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope.
