The best time to encounter whale sharks at Mafia Island is between October and March. During these months, the waters around the island are rich with plankton, attracting whale sharks to feed on the surface in the shallow waters on the western side of the island, which makes it an excellent time for snorkelers to interact with these magnificent creatures. Whale sharks are fascinating creatures, with some living longer than 100 years and reaching lengths of up to 20 metres, yet they are totally harmless, feeding on enormous quantities of plankton.
Day 1: Zanzibar - Mafia Island

Day 2; Whale Shark & Marine Park

• Enjoy landscapes and a mix of activities providing good exercise and fun
• Return transfer back to Zanzibar in the evening
