Around the foothills of Mount Meru you will inevitably come across the Black and White Colobus Monkey, indigenous to Africa. Flying dogs I call them as they are furry and literally fly between the trees.

Message from our guide Penuel- currently in Ndutu with very happy guests. Both Cheetah and Leopard passing close to the car.
"The game is quite good and we had a good sight of a leopard in hidden valley. We had to drive that far because it's a bit tricky driving in the Ndutu woodlands. And then we saw many lion's.

Meet the King of the bush....The elephant. With no enemies apart from poachers, the elephant is feared and respected by all. Walking close to them is scary, thrilling and demands a very experienced guide ( such as ours) to navigate the landscape, the wind and the situation so they do not even know we are around.

Yesterday I came across a proposal from a safari company putting their guests 4 nights in Karatu- leading to 3-4 hours of transport each day to reach the parks. Of which one park basically has no wildlife. Safari is expensive and a-one-in-a-lifetime- mind-blowing experience. I want my friends and friends of friends to get the most bang for the bugs and it pi**es me off when companies do like that. So I started Africa By Foot. As I have been basically everywhere. Twice.

( Yes it's an elephant turd. Thoroughly examined in Tarangire on a walking safari)
