We explored collaboration between Safari Gateway and HalalTrip, and how we can support hotels in Zanzibar through CrescentRating to become Muslim-friendly and halal-certified. Zanzibar Strengthens Regulations to Ensure Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Marine Tourism

The authorities in Zanzibar are taking decisive action to enhance health, safety, and sustainability in all ocean excursions, reinforcing the commitment to eco-tourism and responsible marine activities.

As part of this initiative:
✔ All boats involved in tourism must be licensed by the Zanzibar Maritime Authority (ZMA).
✔ All tourism-related boats must be registered with the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT) to ensure compliance and seamless operations.
✔ All boat captains must obtain a valid license to operate legally and safely.
✔ Ongoing training programs are being implemented for key stakeholders, including boat captains, tour guides, and operators, to enhance safety standards, environmental responsibility, and service quality.

These measures underscore Zanzibar’s firm commitment to sustainable tourism, marine conservation, and visitor safety. By ensuring that all operators meet regulatory standards, Zanzibar aims to protect its marine ecosystem, enhance the quality of ocean excursions, and provide a safe and responsible tourism experience for both visitors and the local community.

Operators and stakeholders are urged to comply with these new regulations to contribute to a more sustainable and professionally managed marine tourism sector in Zanzibar.

Mikumi Safari with a Photographer in the Million Photos Journey program with Safari Gateway Ltd!

Another weekend full of adventures in Mikumi is just around the corner! Mikumi National Park is a true kingdom of wildlife, characterized by a vast plain surrounded by the Uluguru and Udzungwa mountain ranges. Together with the neighboring Nyerere Reserve, it creates a unique ecosystem, rich in biodiversity.
The November editions brought a lot of emotions, good mood and unforgettable experiences. We have developed beautiful souvenirs for our guests in the form of portraits in the natural surroundings and film materials.
