With great sadness, we have learned of the tragic passing of Nirmal Purja MBE - NIMSDAI Nirmal Purja, one of the greatest mountaineers of our time.

Nirmal Purja MBE - NIMSDAI made history by successfully climbing all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks, inspiring millions through his extraordinary courage, resilience, and belief that nothing is impossible. He had also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and was expected to return this August for another ascent.

Today, we also remember the other climbers whose lives were lost in this heartbreaking tragedy, including Nadhira Ahmed Al Harthy from Oman, Pur Bahadur Gurung (“Yukta”), and Mallory Geis from the United States.

Our deepest condolences go to the families, loved ones, friends, fellow climbers, and everyone affected by this devastating loss. May they find strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.

Indeed, death is a reality that awaits us all. May their souls rest in eternal peace, and may their remarkable journeys continue to inspire generations to come.

Rest in peace. You will never be forgotten.
