Why we have a doctor and an emergency ambulance
We believe that the best experiences happen when you can completely switch off.
For a long time now, we have made it a standard at BE to have an emergency vehicle and a doctor with us during the safari portion of our trek. It isnโt because the environment is unsafe, but because we want to remove any tiny bit of โwhat ifโ from a guestโs mind. We work closely with to ensure this level of professional care is always present.
We see this as part of a larger effort to keep pushing the safety standards of travel in Tanzania. As our industry grows, we want to see these kinds of proactive measures become the norm rather than the exception.
We believe there is an opportunity for , , , .tz , and to look seriously into a centralized approach. If emergency vehicles were strategically located at entry and central points of the parks, all 2 million tourists coming to Northern Tanzania could have access to them at the tip of a phone call.
If the whole industry takes this on, we could use a subscription model where the cost per client would amount to almost nothing. It is a simple, scalable solution that protects everyone.
The goal is simple: Not a single life should be lost due to an emergency case not being handled on time.
