How to link the best views in the Dolomites without a car (Part 3). 👇

The final stretch of our 10-day tent-only traverse delivered exactly what we came for. We hiked down from Nuvolau to Falzarego Pass, caught a few valley buses, and made our way up to the famous Seceda ridge before setting up our bivouac deep in the valley.

If you want to connect these iconic spots without driving, here is the exact route hack we used:

1️⃣ Patience with Public Transit: Getting from Falzarego Pass to St. Ulrich (or St. Christina) takes 2 or 3 buses depending on the connections. It sounds tedious, but the system works perfectly and saves you from having to hike along busy roads.

2️⃣ The Seceda Shortcut: To get from Seceda down to the village, we took the Forcella di Mesdì pass. Crossing directly over the ridge here is an amazing route that drops you right into the valley.

3️⃣ The Perfect Finish: After dropping into the village, we visited the beautiful St. Nicholas Church (check the photo in the carousel!), and then ended the entire 10-day trek watching the sunset light up the St. Magdalena Church.
From there, it was an easy bus and train ride straight down to Bolzano to finally trade our camp food for some proper Alpine cheese at the local market. 🧀🏔️

This summer I was able to finally start long waited Dolomites trekking 🤗

I came here many times with motorcycle 🏍 but never with a tent and a lot of time

I did a lot of 1-day tours through the Dolomites but I wasn't ever able to do continuous multi-day tour. This summer it finally happened and every day has gotten better 🙌
