This 2-day journey brings you right into the heart of the Carpathians, allowing to capture the full depth of local culture and history. Visiting tiny towns of Vorokhta, Bukovel, Yaremche and even spending the night at the authentic “hutsul” mansion. But most importantly – climbing Hoverla mountain. Hoverla is the highest peak of entire Ukraine with 2061 meters above the sea level. Hoverla is much more than the highest peak of Ukraine and every hiker's dream. It’s a symbol or eternal love and beauty, wrapped into a bundle of old songs, stories and legends.

One of them says, that Hoverla and Prut were a young couple, madly in love and desperately wanting to be together. Sadly Hoverla, being a daughter of Mountain King, wasn’t allowed to pair with a commoner. Upon exposing young lovers, the furious father turned his daughter into a high mountain – so that no man could ever have her.

One of the local wizards advised Prut to climb the mountain peak before sunrise (this was supposed to break the king’s spell). Despite trying very hard, Prut was obviously late, as the mountain is more than 2000 m high. Doomed for timeless solitude as a man, he started crying so hard, that eventually turned into a self-titled river. This is how he managed to stay with his dear Hoverla forever.

Many years later it’s still obvious - stunning views from the Hoverla peak worth all the tears in the world.
