Pripyat. Night. Silence.

This photo was taken during the 35th anniversary in 2021 — one of the very rare occasions we were allowed to be here after dark.
Outside of the official hotels, overnight access to the Exclusion Zone was almost unheard of… and being around the power plant and Pripyat at night? Even rarer.

Today marks 40 years since the explosion at Chornobyl.

A moment in time that changed lives, landscapes, and history forever — and still shapes this place today.

It’s now been over 4 years since regular visits to the Zone stopped.
But we’re still here. Still ready. Still waiting.

Because one day, when it’s possible again, we’ll go back — properly.

And when we do, we’ll take you with us.

Chornobyl.

40 years ago, in the early hours of April 26, 1986, everything changed.

There isn’t really a perfect way to put it into words.
No caption that fully captures the scale, the consequences, or the lives affected.

For many of us, this is where the story began.
For others, it never really ended.

What remains is memory — of those who responded, those who suffered, and the lessons that should never be forgotten.

40 years on, we remember.

Quietly. Respectfully.

Heroes never truly leave us.

They stay in our hearts, in our memories. When we search for strength and direction or when we feel lost, it is their courage that shows us the way forward.

Every flag, every photo, every name is a reminder of lives given in service for freedom and for the future.

We are forever grateful for their service.
They are not gone.
They are with us. Always.

A small detail that says a lot.

Velcro patches like this are everywhere across Ukraine and much of Eastern Europe — on jackets, backpacks, body armour, even everyday clothing. It’s been a thing for years: part identity, part humour, part subculture. Military-style gear has always blended into civilian life here more than in the West.

But since 2022, it’s exploded.

Patches have become a way to communicate without saying a word — dark humour, unit pride, inside jokes, slogans, reminders of moments people lived through. Some are serious. Some are brutal. Some are unexpectedly funny.

They’re traded, gifted, collected. Soldiers swap them at the front. Volunteers and civilians wear them in solidarity. Visitors often leave with one as something far more personal than a souvenir.

This one?
“The louder you scream, the faster we come.”

In a place where sirens are part of daily life, that hits differently.

Sunny days are returning to Kyiv ☀️

The weather is getting warmer. The sky seems brighter. Walking through the streets of Kyiv, you see both its beauty and its strength, side by side.

Maybe this is your sign.

A sign to finally visit Ukraine, to experience it, to see the places, hear the stories, and feel the spirit of a country that continues to stand strong.

Come while the sun is shining.

Ukrainian culture is the warmth you can feel.

It’s in the details: embroidered patterns, wooden textures, soft light, and the quiet comfort of a table set with care. It’s the kind of coziness that invites you to slow down and feel at home even if you’re far away.

Behind every ornament and every tradition, there is a story of generations who created beauty for everyday life.

And even in difficult times, it lives on in homes, in cafés, in people.

Come experience it for yourself. Drop us a message!

Shelters.

Places you never think about until you have to.

For many in Ukraine, they’ve become part of daily life. A sudden alarm, a quick descent underground, waiting in the quiet tension between fear and hope.

These spaces are not just concrete walls. They are where people call loved ones, hold each other closer, and wait for the moment it’s safe to return to the light.

On our tours, we show the reality of today, including the places where life pauses, but never stops.

Destroyed vehicles are never just metal. They are reminders.

Reminders of lives interrupted, of moments that changed everything, of people we lost, and those who are still here, holding on and rebuilding.

We fight in their name.
We remember for a reason.

And when we share these places with visitors, it’s not about destruction, it’s about understanding the cost and the reality behind it all.

“Mriya” — it means dream.

The Antonov An-225 Mriya was the largest and most powerful aircraft ever built. It was a symbol of Ukrainian engineering, ambition, and possibility. Its chief designer was Viktor Tolmachev.

In 2022, it was destroyed during the battle for Hostomel. But like its name, the dream doesn’t end there.

Because “Mriya” is not just an aircraft. It’s a reminder of what can be built, and even if lost, one day, rebuilt.

And here in Ukraine, we still believe in that.

Another tough night for Ukraine.

Cities across the country were under attack.
In Kyiv alone, 5 people were killed — including a child.
58 were injured.

But this pain is not limited to one place. It is shared by communities across Ukraine: families, homes, and lives affected in different corners of the country. Behind these numbers are lives and families that should never have been cut short.

We continue to share these stories with those who come here, not only to show history, but to help understand the reality Ukrainians are living through today.

Ukraine stands.

When your friends come for a tour, it’s always a great time.

But when strangers arrive… and leave as friends, that’s something truly unforgettable.

Sharing these places, these stories, and these moments together creates connections that go far beyond the tour itself. Different countries, different backgrounds, one shared experience that stays with you long after.

This is why we do what we do.

Come as a traveler. Leave as a friend. Check it out for yourself, drop us a message, and we will arrange your trip with us!

Hidden in the silence of the forest, mosaic “Do Svitla” (“To the Light”).

Created in 1977 on the wall of the “Meat. Fish. Vegetables” shop, it was designed by artist Ivan Lytovchenko, who sought to reveal the spiritual essence of human beings. His works are known for their symbolism and allegory, often portraying everyday life scenes while blending Neo-Baroque elements with classical forms.

Places like Pripyat hold countless details like this: art frozen in time. It’s heartbreaking that right now, it’s impossible to visit and share these places with you in person. We hope the day will come soon when we can walk these paths together again.

Until then, we keep telling the stories.
