Tunisia has been a country which has always been in my list of must visit places, and in Tunisia I find the southern region to be one of the most unique places. The matter of fact is I grew up watching plenty of Hollywood movies and most of the classic desert scenes such as the one in Starwars have quite simply taken my breath away.

It has a pleasant canyon and has an abandoned old town. The town was abandoned after the river flooded for 22 days in 1969.
It is located north of the salt lakes and receives fresh water from the nearby hills. It is in the hillcountry near the border with Algeria
