GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
There are wildlife experiences you watch from a distance, and then there are experiences that take you deep into the heart of the forest.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the latter.
Located in southwestern Uganda, Bwindi is home to a significant population of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Trekkers enter the dense forest accompanied by guides and trackers, following trails in search of habituated gorilla families.
The trek itself is an adventure. The forest can be steep and challenging, but every step brings you closer to one of the world’s most fascinating primates.
And then comes the moment everyone has been waiting for finding the gorilla family.
Observing them in their natural environment offers more than an incredible wildlife encounter. It creates a deeper appreciation for the conservation efforts that protect these remarkable animals and their forest home.
From the first step into Bwindi to the moment you encounter the gorillas, every part of the journey becomes a memory.
