There is a golden rule in the jungle: 7 meters. That is the distance we strictly maintain to respect the space and health of these incredible mountain gorillas. It’s a boundary built on respect, conservation, and safety.
But sometimes, the forest has other plans.
There are those rare, breathless moments when a gorilla decides to bridge the gap themselves. Whether it’s a curious youngster tumbling toward your boots or a magnificent Silverback calmly walking past as if you’re just another part of the foliage—when the gorilla chooses the distance, the world stands still.
It is a pure, raw, and magical experience.
Even in these close encounters, our protocols remain firm: we never initiate contact, we move back when possible, and we let the wildlife dictate the rhythm of the forest. Being “chosen” for a brief moment by a giant is a humbling reminder of why we protect these wild spaces.
Experience the magic of the wild, with respect as our guiding star.
