SAD NEWS!!!!!

“Makumba has passed away after a deadly fight with a lone male who was trying to overthrow him from his group.

Makumba was a great family guy who valued and protected his family. He was over 45 years old, and during his long lifetime, he fathered at least 18 children with six different females. I recall a few years ago, one of his wives, Malui, gave birth to twin brothers, a truly rare event in gorilla families. Rest in peace, Makumba. I take solace in knowing that you were living freely and wild in your natural habitat, and may you roam forever amongst all those who have crossed the rainbow bridge” Jo Mburu.

Exploring the mystical forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park! 🌳🦊

I’m thrilled to share some highlights from our recent trip to Bwindi with Primate Journeys Africa, where we ventured into the Ruhija sector, situated at an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level. This region is not only breathtakingly beautiful but also one of the coldest parts of the park.

Our guests were treated to an unforgettable experience, starting from the iconic Bwindi gate, where their adventure began.

But the real magic happened when one of them spotted a rare and elusive Three-horned Chameleon! 🦎 This incredible creature is found only in the Rwenzori Mountains and surrounding areas, making this sighting truly special.
