A morning with the Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Gorilla trekking is done every day in the park and it starts with a briefing at 8:00am where clients are educated about the park and the Gorillas. Clients are later grouped into different groups and assigned a particular family of Gorillas in that sector that they will visit ( Gorillas in every trekking sector live in groups / families)
You will entered the Impenetrable forest with your park rangers and start your search for these gentle giants. The distance of the trek depends on the location of the Gorillas so clients are expected to have enough drinking water as you can’t tell how long you will walk before encountering the Gorillas.
Life in the forest is phenomenal, from the different sounds of birds, to the butterflies and different types of trees that your guides will tell you stories about . But ofcourse all is never rosy in the forest, expect a visit from the mighty red ants 🐜 that if you unknowingly step into their territory, they will make you sing a song of victory.
Upon finding the Gorillas, clients are expected to keep a 6 metre distance from these gorillas (they may be habituated but hey, they can still get wild). This also helps to stop the gorillas from contracting any human disease. 1 hour is provided to the clients to enjoy and take all sorts of pictures of the Gorillas as the guides tell you everything about this gentle giants.
