The Ankole long-horned cattle, often simply called Ankole cattle, are one of the most iconic livestock breeds in East Africa. 🌿

Ankole cattle are deeply tied to traditional pastoralist cultures, particularly among groups like the Banyankole. They’re not just livestock—they symbolize wealth, status, and heritage. Historically, owning large herds was a sign of prestige.

💫 Massive horns: Their most striking feature. The horns can grow up to 2 meters (over 6 feet) wide.

The Rothschild’s giraffe is one of the rarest and most distinctive giraffe subspecies in the world. 🦒🌿Native to East Africa, it stands out for its pale, cream-colored coat marked with large, irregular brown patches. Unlike many other giraffes, it has no spots on its lower legs, giving the appearance of white stockings. Another unusual feature is the presence of up to five ossicones—the horn-like structures on its head—which makes it unique among giraffe subspecies.
