With thousands roaming freely across the open plains, their stripes glowing against the lush green landscape, it’s easy to see why this park is famous for them.
From peaceful grazing herds to playful trots across the savanna, being surrounded by so much wild beauty felt truly special. Lake Mburo’s calm, intimate vibe makes every sighting feel magical — no big crowds, just you and nature at its finest. Moments like these remind me how incredible Uganda’s wildlife really is. ❤️

African night game drives always hit different — no fluke about it.

Once the sun’s down, the bush changes. Guides head out 30-60 minutes after sunset and the spotlight starts catching eyeshine everywhere. You see predators working, hyenas moving, small stuff you’d never spot in daylight.

The rule is simple: stay seated, keep it quiet, no flash. Let the animals carry on like you’re not there.

They move through the golden light as though the land belongs to them — because it does. Ancient, unhurried, magnificent. This is Tanzania at its most raw and most beautiful. It’s one of those sights that does not translate fully into any photograph, no matter how perfect the light.
