🦍 Nshuti, a female member of the Nyakagezi gorilla troop (family) in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, welcomed her fourth baby!

This is the second baby born this year in the troop with Tulambule 🦍 who gave birth in September.

🎉Congratulations to Nshuti and the entire 🦍Nyakagyezi troop!

This is what it’s all about, conserving these beautiful giants.

🦍 Planning to Trek Gorillas in Uganda or Rwanda?

Here’s why you MUST book your gorilla permits in advance!

🌍 Gorilla trekking is one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences on Earth—but permits are very limited each day to protect the endangered mountain gorillas. It’s definitely a bucket list item, a very special activity.

🎟️ Permits are few and demand is high—especially in peak seasons (June–Sept & Dec–Feb). Waiting until the last minute could mean missing out entirely! There are only 8 permits, per gorilla troop, per day available.

📌To be safe and get your preferred dates, you should ideally book your gorilla permits at least:
👉 3 to 6 months in advance

📝Only a licensed registered tour company can purchase a gorilla permit. Do your research and checkout companies.

⌛️Booking early helps you:
• Secure your preferred trekking date
• Get the best lodges near the park
• Lock in the current permit price before any increases, this is so important
• Enjoy a smooth, well-planned journey into the misty mountains

⛰️Whether you choose Bwindi or Mgahinga in Uganda or Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, don’t leave this once-in-a-lifetime experience to chance. 🥾🌳
