Such beautiful sightings of more than 1000 birds species found in Uganda are common.
Here is the Eastern plantain-Eater (Crinifer zonurus) also known as Eastern Grey Plaintain-eater. The Eastern plantain- eater and its other cousins belonging to the Turaco family are very common in Uganda. In Luganda language, it's "Kokotezzi".
It's dubbed the plantain-eater but most of its diet is main of wild figs, berries, buds, flowers and sometimes fruit crops.
The Eastern Plantain-Eater's important role in the ecological system is to disperse seeds across the Savanah and woodland thereby planting more trees and the benefits that come with them.
