- *Silver Medal*: Peruth Chemutai of Uganda won the silver medal in the Women's 3000m Steeplechase final at the 2024 Paris Olympics with a new national record of 8:53.34 ¹.
- *New National Record*: Chemutai's time of 8:53.34 is a new national record for Uganda ¹.
