Gorilla trekking in Uganda Mgahinga.
It all started with a short tough hike to the starting point. A welcome dance by the native people to set us in the trekking moods, to the forest on the Gahinga mountains we started the hike, just after an hour a bluff was heard.
Long story short Nyakagezi family was awesome. We saw 3 silverbacks, about 5 females 2 sub-adults and 2 little babies.
Dont miss gorilla trekking this 2026.

Lets go chimpanzee trekking in Uganda,
Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda offers incredible chances to see chimps in the wild, primarily at Kibale Forest National Park, East Africa's best spot with a high density of chimps, though you can also trek in Budongo Forest (Murchison Falls NP), Kyambura Gorge (Queen Elizabeth NP), and Kalinzu Forest. Expect guided treks with a limited time (usually 1 hour) with habituated groups, requiring permits and appropriate gear like sturdy shoes and rainwear, with dry months (Dec-Feb, Jun-Aug) offering easier trails. 🇺🇬 🇺🇬
