Food is Central of traveling and is a vivid entry way into another culture. The Acholi are Luo people found in Magwi county in South Sudan and Northern Uganda and speak Acholi Language. It is mutually intelligible with Lango, Alur and other Luo languages. This language is spoken in various parts of the world e.g Western Kenya, Eastern Uganda, Acholi land, WestNile in Uganda and South Sudan.
The famous song of Lawino by Okot p'Bitek was written in Acholi and later translated to English.
The staple Food of Acholi is Millet.
