Did you know you can go “Lion Trekking” in Uganda? 🇺🇬
Most people think of Uganda for gorillas.
But in Queen Elizabeth National Park we’re doing something few places in Africa offer:
Lion Trekking.
This isn’t a drive-by safari.
It’s a 1-3 hour on-foot tracking experience with UWA rangers and researchers.
You follow lion tracks. You learn how prides hunt, how they communicate, how they survive.
And when you find them... you observe them respectfully, from a safe distance, in the wild.
This is tourism with purpose.
You don’t just see a lion. You help protect it.
Queen Elizabeth is one of the only places in the world where you can legally and safely trek lions on foot with experts.
That’s a story Uganda should be telling louder.
If we want travelers in 2026 to choose Uganda, we need to show them experiences they _can’t_ get anywhere else.
Lion Trekking in QENP is one of them.
