For generations, the Batwa lived closely with the forests of southwestern Uganda, depending on them for food, shelter, medicine, and identity.

For several minutes, the lioness barely moves.
Her body stays low in the grass. Ahead, a herd of antelope continues feeding, unaware of the eyes watching from a distance.

A warning call breaks the silence, and suddenly the plains explode into movement.

Dust rises. Hooves pound the ground. The lioness accelerates.

Whether she succeeds almost becomes secondary. For those few seconds, you are watching nature exactly as it has played out for thousands of years.
