50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE. 50 YEARS OF LOVE. AND A JOURNEY TO THE HOUSE OF ALLAH. ๐
When Hajj Adam Swaleh and Hajjat Zainab from Mbarara completed 50 beautiful years of marriage, their children wanted to celebrate a milestone that meant more than a party, cake or gifts.
They chose something deeply meaningful: they surprised their parents with an Umrah journey in September 2024.
After five decades together, they travelled to the blessed lands to rest, reflect, worship and, most importantly, thank Allah for the years He had blessed them with.
It was more than a surprise. It was an expression of love from children to parents.
And there is a beautiful lesson in their story:
Not every milestone has to be celebrated through what Allah has prohibited. Our happiness, anniversaries and achievements can become opportunities to draw closer to Him.
And when it comes to appreciating parents, what greater gift can there be than helping them visit the House of Allah?
Their journey reminds us that sometimes the greatest way to say โThank you, Mum and Dadโ is not with something that fades, but with an experience that strengthens their connection with Allah.
But the story did not end when they returned.
