Female lions will nurse cubs born to other females in the same pride, but, she will only carry her own cubs. Cubs often try to resist being carried, but as soon as the mother got the grip around the neck, the cub goes limp, dangling from side to side😁

Nature plays by her own rules, she can be mesmerisingly beautiful at times and immersely raw in the blink of an eye.
Here a lioness carries away her dead cub which was killed by an intruding male. Unfortunately the dominant males who hold the territory were too far away to protect them.
It's not uncommon practice for outsider males to kill unrelated cubs, lions do this to reduce resource expenditure on genetically unrelated offspring, increase the likelihood of subsequent breeding and simply reduce competition.

The wild is an intriguing place. You can be caught in the wrong place, at the wrong time, in front of the wrong opponent, no matter who you are.
This video is both terrifying and awe-inspiring. It shows a cheetah drinking water, and nothing seems to happen for a few seconds. Then suddenly, the calm is interrupted by a feisty crocodile that pounces on the cheetah and drags it into the water.
The latter is visibly startled, but puts up a fight to free itself from the clenches of the mighty animal. However, this time, the mighty croc emerges victorious.
Now, this is the very sad, sad part.
The mother cheetah can be seen staring in the direction from where her cub was pulled into the water at the same time backing away from the water.
The mom keeps turning around to look in the direction of the water and it shows how animals, much like humans, feel loss, even if this is the way of the wild.
Cheetahs are majestic animals that are more often than not, the predators.
It just goes on to show that no matter how powerful you are, some day, some place, there will be someone more powerful than you.
