Here are some Grevy’s Zebra Facts 🦓
1. They are the largest of all Zebra Species with males weighing up to 450 kilograms.
2. They have narrow and closely spaced stripes.
The Grevy’s Zebra stripes are more narrow and closely spaced. Their patterns also vary based on each individual Zebra and help to camouflage in the arid grasslands.
3. They are adapted to semi-desert environments and can survive up to 5 days without water.
4. Grevy’s Zebras are not as social as the common zebras.
5. They have a long gestation of 13 months and give birth to one foal.
Grevy’s Zebra are native to northern Kenya and are often seen on game drives in the region’s exclusive destinations like Samburu National Reserve and the Loisaba Conservancy.
