๐โ๏ธ UGANDA REMAINS SAFE FOR TRAVEL ๐บ๐ฌโจ
The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) wishes to reassure all travelers, tourism partners, investors, and the international community that Uganda remains fully open, welcoming, and safe for travel.
Following recent reports regarding Ebola cases, the Ministry of Health and relevant government agencies have taken swift, decisive action to completely contain the situation and safeguard public health:
๐น Contained & Controlled: Uganda has registered a total of only fifteen (15) cases, all strictly associated with cross-border movement from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
๐น Immediate Action: The affected individuals were promptly identified, isolated, and are receiving appropriate medical care. With the exception of one Congolese national registered over a fortnight ago, Uganda has recorded no other fatalities.
๐น Proactive Safeguards: Robust preventative measures have been activated, including the temporary closure of the UgandaโDRC border, enhanced health screening, rigorous contact tracing, and strict monitoring.
๐น Tourism is Fully Operational: All tourism establishments, national parks, and accommodations across the country remain fully operational and completely safe for visitors.
Uganda is internationally recognized for its exceptional capacity, vigilance, and experience in managing public health emergencies.
We encourage all travelers and tourism practitioners to continue observing standard health and hygiene practices, including regular handwashing and the use of hand sanitizers.
Come explore the Pearl of Africa with absolute peace of mind! ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐
