UNSUNG HEROS OF WOMEN'S DAY

Women's day is all about celebrating women's achievements in various areas

Biira Juliet, wearing a scuff in the video a young woman in Kasese District is living with disability ( dumb and deaf) she can neither speak nor hear, is my unsung hero this year

She is a living example of disability is not an inability.
She has risen above her disability and ventured in saloon business that requires communication with customers but is not limited by her disability

She uses sign language and her smart phone to communicate to her customers

Biira offers quality hair dressing services and great customer care in her saloon

Rather than take to the streets and beg, the volatile Biira took advantage of YES (Youth Empowerment Support ) a program that was sponsored by Save the children Denmark and implemented in Kasese by Save the children in Uganda.

Through this program youth were trained in hair dressing by Aunt Grace a veteran in the hair dressing business
