Some mornings are simply unforgettable...

Early this morning, we had the privilege of hosting a peaceful herd of elephants right here at the camp near our family tented cottage. Seeing them wander by so calmly, wrapped in the soft morning light, was a beautiful reminder of how powerful and precious these natural encounters are.

Out here nature arrives on its own terms and every time, it’s nothing short of extraordinary.

A moment of everyday life — with a powerful reminder of nature’s presence.

Two men fetching water in jerricans along the shores of Lake George at the Kasenyi Fishing Village a few kilometers from Kasenyi Safari Camp, while hippos eat quietly in the same waters. It’s a striking scene of coexistence — where routine human activity unfolds side by side with one of Africa’s most powerful wild animals.

Here, survival is shared. The lake provides for the community, just as it sustains the wildlife within it. But this coexistence requires constant awareness, respect, and caution — because living this close to nature is as challenging as it is beautiful.
This is more than just a photograph. It’s a story of resilience, adaptation, and the delicate balance between people and the wild.

Join us for a guided walking safari through the community and witness this remarkable coexistence for yourself.

Today we celebrated Earth Day by stepping beyond our Camp and into the Kasenyi Fishing Village.

Our team joined New Nature Foundation team to sensitize the community about proper waste disposal because keeping our environment clean is not just a responsibility, it’s a necessity for the survival of both humans and animals in the park.

Every bottle picked up, every conversation shared, and every mind changed brings us one step closer to a healthier planet. The beauty we enjoy, today is the legacy we must protect for tomorrow.

Let’s all play our part. A cleaner Earth means a better existence for all living beings.

Golden light, quiet plains, and a rare, fleeting moment of wild beauty.

Caught sight of a shy bushbuck in the Kasenyi savannah plains — moving gently through the tall grasses. Not often seen, and gone just as quickly as it appeared.

Encounters like this feel truly special... a quiet reminder of how precious and elusive wildlife can be.

Golden light, cool morning air, and the thrill of the unexpected *
On an early morning game drive just a few kilometers from our Camp , the Kasenyi Savannah Plains came alive with the unmistakable presence of hyenas. Moving through the grass with quiet confidence, they reminded us that the savannah never sleeps—it simply shifts its rhythm.
There’s something special about these dawn encounters... raw, real, and beautifully untamed.

Who else would love to witness this in person?

Down memory lane to 2017...
While exploring the vast Kasenyi Savannah Plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park, we were lucky enough to spot one of the savannah’s most fascinating and rarely seen hunters — the Secretary Bird.

Tall, elegant, and unmistakable with its striking crest and long legs, it moved gracefully through the golden grasslands on its search for prey.
Moments like this remind us how special the wild truly is. Some sightings stay with you long after the dust of the game drive settles.

Happy World Wildlife Day
Today we celebrate the strength and resilience of wildlife — and this hippo stands as a powerful symbol of both. Marked by survival and shaped by the wild, it carries the quiet evidence of battles fought, seasons endured, and territory protected. In nature, survival is never easy — it is earned.

Though they may appear calm as they rest in the water, hippos are among Africa’s most formidable animals. They spend their days submerged in water to escape the heat and come out at night to graze, playing an essential role in maintaining ecosystems.

On , let’s honor not just the beauty of these incredible giants, but their importance to the balance of our planet. Protecting wildlife means protecting the habitats and ecosystems that allow them to thrive.

This beautiful Malachite Kingfisher sat perfectly poised on a reed above the water at the Lake George flats in Queen Elizabeth National Park, its jewel-toned feathers glowing in the sunlight and that bright orange bill standing out like a flame.

Seeing a Malachite kingfisher in the wild is always special. Small in size, but absolutely unforgettable in presence. These little hunters remind us to slow down and appreciate the details-sometimes the most magical sightings aren’t the biggest ones.
Game drives always have surprises waiting along the water’s edge.

On this morning’s game drive across the breathtaking Lake George Flats in Queen Elizabeth National Park, we were treated to an incredible sighting — à powerful forest hog emerging from the tall grass as the sun painted the plains in gold.

Often shy and elusive, these impressive forest hogs are a rare gem to spot out in the open. Watching it move confidently through the savannah with endless horizons, was a reminder of how beautifully wild this landscape truly is.

Every sunrise drive brings a new story... and today, the plains delivered.
