This was the dream. Having children at the Farm. The joy on their face as they learn and connect with the land and the animals in a safe space. The rabbits, the bees, the goats , the cows, herbs and what we use them for. And then playing all sorts of games, eating fruits and berries. Everything I know about farming and animals and plants I learnt at this age. Children never forget these things and I am evidence of that. It is important to decolonize the minds of the children and to show them that being a farmer is not the worst thing that can happen to you. Fertile Land is Africas biggest asset and yet we were taught that using this asset makes you poor, backward and uneducated. As Africans we need to unlearn that. CEO Hafna family farms.
