East African Discovery was a perfect choice. Highly recommended!

We went on a 2-week safari to Uganda and Rwanda. East African Discovery organised everything properly from the very beginning until the last minute. Our contact from the office was Ben, he is very well prepared and helpful, took all our needs into account and replied quickly to emails.

During our safari everything went according the plan and our ideas. Our tour guide, Bernard (on the first week in Uganda) was excellent, he is so helpful and attentive, informed us about everything and always open to our requests. (In case you are planning to visit the area where EAD works, ask for Bernard, you won't regret it.)

On the second week we continued our safari with Abdul, he is also a great guide, high-skilled and open minded.

During our trip we also had the chance to meet Richard (the business partner of Ben) at My Bwindi Home a newly opened lodge which is operated by them. It was an unforgettable memory, the guys were so warm -hearted and did everything to make us feel at home.

Overall, we were very satisfied with everything from the organization throughout our stay. Perfect tour opereator with perfect staff, extremely recommended.

18 months on from launching our Batwa tea project trials we are ready to invest further.

We started this project to help a Batwa tribe (the people indigenous to the forests where the gorillas live, before they were forcibly removed) generate their own income from cash crops for the very first time.

This project has been a great success with several families from the tribe now receiving a regular income from the tea plants.

We supplied the seedlings themselves and also mentored them in each stage of the growing and harvesting process.

Now we have proven that this can be successful, we are looking to expand to more families and supply even more seedlings.
