🎧 Every place has a story — and now you can hear ours!

We’re excited to introduce a new AUTIO sign in the front window of the Elkin Theatre!

Autio, co-founded by Academy Award-winning actor and filmmaker Kevin Costner, is a location-based storytelling platform that shares fascinating stories about the people, places and history found along America’s roads. With more than 25,000 stories across all 50 states, Autio is helping travelers discover the stories that make each community unique. (Autio)

And yes — the historic Elkin Theatre has its own story! ❤️

Stop by the theatre and scan the QR code located on our front door to hear an original story about the history of the Elkin, told by one of our very own Elkin volunteers.

We think there’s something pretty special about hearing the story of our little theatre told by someone who has helped keep its story going.

Next time you’re downtown, stop by, scan and listen! 🎬🍿🎧
